How do I Get Started?

Welcome to The Armor-E!
To get started using an Armor-E hosting account, an explanation of the basic process of getting a web site up and running,  as well as some important features that will help in the administration of your hosting account.

If the account setup process has finished and have already received the account setup email which contains important account information such as user name and password. If it has not been received please contact the support department immediately.

One of the first things that every new account user should know is that for a few days after the original sign up date, access to the domain in a web browser is via the temporary address. This address has both our server name and your user name (example http://secure1.armor-e.net/~username), not your new domain name (Web address).

Your new or transferred domain name can take a few days to function due to the fact that Online NIC, Network Solutions or other domain name registrars, must register and propagate the name across the entire Internet. This can take from 3-5 days for new domains, and 4-7 days for domain name transfers.
To test the domain, simply type it into a Web browser and see if your account comes up.

Please click on the "Getting Started Wizard" in the cPanel to learn how to administer the tools needed for a successful web site.
